Statute/GEP

Statute

Founded in 1927 by the philanthropist Luigi Ronzoni, the Institute was originally established as a centre for postgraduate training in Industrial Chemistry. In 1941, it became the “Istituto Scientifico di Chimica e Biochimica G. Ronzoni”, reflecting its growing commitment to scientific research.
By Decree of the President of the Italian Republic on October 16, 1952, the Institute was formally incorporated as a private non-profit foundation under the supervision of the Italian Ministry of Research.
Following the reform introduced by Legislative Decree 460/97, the Statute was amended on June 26, 1998, and the Institute was officially registered as a research foundation under its current name, Istituto di Ricerche Chimiche e Biochimiche “G. Ronzoni”, in the Register of Legal Entities of the Prefecture of Milan on June 5, 2001 (No. 22).

Gender Equality Plan (GEP)

To promote equal opportunities for people of all genders, Istituto Ronzoni has adopted a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) outlining the actions and measures implemented to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and non-discrimination across all institutional activities.
The Plan establishes a coordinated approach to advancing gender equality, fostering an inclusive organizational culture, and supporting the adoption of best practices.
The current Gender Equality Plan, covering the period 2026–2028, was approved by the Institute’s Management on January 7, 2026.
